Marc Rogers was conceived in 1969 in the back of a Volzwegen Van during the song Inna-Gadda-Da-Vidda. As a child I constantly had my ear glued to my bedroom door listening to comedians such as Richard Pryor and George Carlin. By age 5 I answered every question with the phrase, “Live From New York It’s Saturday Night!” In 1977 when my first grade teacher asked me, “what’s so funny” I single handedly destroyed the entire class with my delivery of Little Johnny’s classic, “Pass the Motherfucking Mashed Potatoes”. In 1985 during English class, I was given another opportunity to demonstrate “what’s so funny” and again struck comedy gold with my rendition of The William Tell Overture performed with his armpits. Since then I have lived in every corner of Texas making people laugh along the way. In 2005 I was diagnosed with cancer. That wasn’t painful enough so I joined the world of Stand Up Comedy for the first time, dying on stage rather than in a hospital bed. Later that same year I won a George Carlin Comedy Writing Essay contest sponsored by the Laugh Factory Hollywood, and I have the autographed poster to prove it. I have also written several articles for Unconfirmedsources.com voted Best Political Satire website in 2006. My comedy style has been described as hip with a mix of observational humor and true to life stories with an edge. Covering topics such as Religion, growing up in the South and surviving cancer, I'm not afraid to find the comical line that has been drawn and purposely cross it for a laugh. Currently based in Houston Texas, I can be seen at local comedy clubs around South East Texas and Louisiana.
